Much of the U.S. is going to be hot today. It’s going to be a day when air conditioning is going to be in full demand. Staying cool and hydrating will help get us through the coming days. Take care everyone wherever you might be.
Today in Gobblers Knob of Punxsutawney, PA its resident weather prognosticator and most famous groundhog Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow and that means six more weeks of winter. Somehow that seems on brand with this year so far. So I guess we gotta keep bundled up and be ready for more cold weather ahead. Thanks a lot, Phil.
Later today, we will most certainly watch the classic movie Groundhog Day with Bill Murray and Andie MacDowell. It’s only right to do so.
It’s starting off really cold for a Monday. Yes it’s colder elsewhere but here it’s really cold and we aren’t used to it like this.
According to Wikipedia, the winter solstice, also called the hibernal solstice, occurs when either of Earth’s poles reaches its maximum tilt away from the Sun. This happens twice yearly, once in each hemisphere. It’s also a day to welcome the beginning of winter. Stay warm everyone!
To all in the path of Hurricane Milton, I hope you are doing what you must to be safe and secure away from the storm. This thing is going to be dangerous. Please take care and think of your neighbors who might need a hand. May God be with you and yours in the days ahead. Also, be mindful of those recovering from Helene who are still digging out. Resources will be available to you all in the aftermath.
