Keep Swimming at Work

Work is one of those things that challenge you. It’s been my experience that you will have more productive days than others. When you have a daily quota that means working to meet or exceed whatever number that might be. There have been more days than not that I have overperformed.

Now there are times when you can’t just get there. Everyone has an off day but keeping your cool is important. Granted I have been frustrated because of the circumstances of the day but I try to keep going. As the movie “Finding Nemo” says just keep swimming. There is wisdom in that.

Just keep swimming and eventually, you will find your way to where you need to be, hopefully.

Changes On The Job

Every job has some changes that happen over time. You get hired, train and after a while forces outside your control (like COVID) means you must adapt and adjust. This is something I am experiencing as my work tasks include changing how I do customer service and recruitment.

I still enjoy what I do because of how important the mission of my organization is to the lives of thousands. I am just saying that every day has the potential to be completely brand new in how one is supposed to do their daily work.

Covid has changed the game for so many and we have a responsibility to learn new ways of living, working, and doing the best we can. This is where experience can pay off for both employee and employer.

Rolling with the punches is the rule of the times we live in. Every day is a new adventure. Be ready and do what you can.

Happy Labor Day 2021 – #laborday

Today is a day set apart to honor the contributions of those who work to build our communities. It takes skilled and talented people to make the world work and they should be celebrated.

Usually Labor Day is a day of rest and gathering with family and friends. For me it’s another day of being on the job which is alright because I’m grateful to be able to work and make the world a better place.

Thanks to all who are laboring each day to do great things. It’s appreciated good people.
