To those who are beginning their blogs or new to blogging I salute you for being awesome in joining the blogging community. Here are 3 tips to make blogging fun and to help you post more regularly.
- Write short posts. No more than 3 paragraphs with 3-4 sentences each. Make it on something you are interested in or how your day is going. Some folks will do a poem or other type of post. Remember the attention span of most people is short so brevity is important.
- Post pictures. Its an easy way to get a post up with visual impact. Add a paragraph supporting what the picture is about and why it means something to you. You can also use pictures in your short posts.
- Post videos. You can embed YouTube videos in your posts which can support the overall theme of your blog. It also makes your blog more multimedia which is always fun.
I encourage every blogger to “Keep on Blogging”. Make this journey fun and connect with other bloggers for more ideas as you go along.
Good tips…most importantly you’ve mentioned that we need to keep going and have fun with it. Cheers to that.

Short post´s are key if you ask me. I go through tons and tons of other posts but the day only has 24 hours so if and when I stuble upon a a long post if is not someone I really like to read I tend to ignore it, or to tell the truth just skim through it and hit the like button quickly to move on to the next post. But even skimming through the I can always get an idea here and there for my own writing, I´m an idea theft, that´s why I try to read as many as I can. But yes, short is much better.

For me it’s hard to get those short posts cuz I love writing but it’s definitely something I’m working on

I still need help with #1!😆 And great minds think alike ’cause I have a post planned and am using the same graphic as yours!👍

I agree with #1 and #2 but don’t really want videos in blogs. I’d rather have blogs for reading/writing and youtube for videos, I like to keep them separate but maybe I’m in the minority with that thought?

I’ve been blogging since 2009. My advice on length is 500 words or less (more than 500 becomes an essay). Other than that, like you said, keep paragraphs short, keep things moving, and make use of headings.
Oh, and if you REALLY want to up your numbers, regularly visit other blogs and leave actual comments 😉 We bloggers LOVE comments!

I would agree with that. 500 or more words needs to broken up into two posts anyway. Keep them waiting for more. I do comment frequently as well.

By the way, have we ever met? Being that you’re actually in Chattanooga, and all.

I don’t know. There is an outside possibility in the past. I am following your blog now and I look forward to your future posts. Fight the good fight with legalism and what I call lazy Christianity where fundamentalism reigns.

I could go for that. I am not too far away from there where I work.

Long posts don’t work for me much either. Posts that are more to the point are interesting…instead of ones that keep dragging out.
