Aretha Franklin, The Queen of Soul passed away today at age 76.
This is one of my favorite performances she did when she was in the movie “The Blues Brothers” with John Belushi and Dan Aykroyd. This scene showed her singing, acting and dancing talents.
Thanks for your gift that made music and the world better Aretha. You will live on and your influence will still be felt well on into the future.

I had her on my mind this morning too. I saw her once in person while in Pittsburgh,Pennsylvania, It was form a distance but it was great non the less.

Odd irony. My mom was born on March 26, 1942 and has had pancreatic cancer since February 2012. She’s in pain, but we’re told she’s fine.
