  1. Do not ever be ashamed of taking a break from from-long caregiving! If you are miserable, the one you care for will sense it and feel guilty, or angry, or confused. And worse, probably don’t know how to say so, or even if they should. Do whatever you need to do to make caring for your dad a happy time, so you’ll remember it fondly when it’s long over and you’re reading someone’s blog about caring for a hospice patient!


  2. Taking a little more time off when you can sounds like a good idea, I can only imagine how exhausted you must be and you’ll want to spend as much time as you can with your dad. Sending lots of love your way xxxx
