We cannot return to normal because what was normal has failed us. A health care system built on profit and balance sheet instead of the care of human beings. So many people are dying not just of Coronavirus in a place where many profess to cherish life. Health is a human right given to us from a creator who loves each one of us. Holding on the notion that you can be cured if you have the financial resources is morally wrong in every way. Instead of thinking about excuses as to why we can’t have a new way forward to care for the children of God come up solutions as to making it happen. My friends I don’t want to go back to what we had because its killing people. I value people and life and love above anything else and you should too.
Excellent post! Thanks!!

Me too. One thing this thing is doing is the environment is clearing up due to not as much pollution being dumped in the air. A very thin silver lining.

Love your blog so much and the things it has to say, Tony. Being a temporary staff working at the Covid 19 frontlines, I see everyone struggle but do their very best in trying to provide the best healthcare and ensuring all patients feel comfortable. Even though exhaustion some times threatens to get to them, but they are doing their best. Proud of our Malaysian healthcare workers! I’ve written about my personal experiences, and what goes on behind the scenes at the Covid 19 frontlines on my blog. http://rachelstruth.home.blog Appreciate it so much if you could share the post and spread awareness on what’s really happening in hospitals right now.
Rachel here, great to meet you Tony.

I just ran into this post. Thanks for writing this. I have been thinking the same thing lately… that normal was not good and got us into the current situation.

For some normal means keeping their status quo that will give them an advantage over everyone else.

Tony Burgess, what are your thoughts on Medicare For All?

I am in favor of universal health care so everyone has full coverage no matter what. It’s a human and moral right. How it happens is up to people who know more about it. Medicare for all might be good but if something else is better then I’m all for it.

I do like Medicare For All conceptually. The issue is the conflicting information I have heard and read.
