Local News Matters, Journalism Where You Live

I want to offer appreciation to local news journalists who are keeping us informed about what is going on in our backyards during these days of Coronavirus and now tornadoes and severe weather. Everywhere there is local information that needs to be reported. The news in your area matters and can impact your life in a profound way. These reporters really do deserve our thanks.
Tornadoes And Severe Weather Last Night In #Chattanooga – April 12, 2020
Easter Sunday was a rough day for many in the southern USA. Severe weather including tornadoes and thunderstorms impacted millions including my hometown of Chattanooga and surrounding area. Tornadoes hit in a residential area near our largest shopping mall. Not only do we have to deal with Coronavirus now people are having to deal with the devastating aftermath of these storms. Me and mine are OK but some friends are not. It’s going to be a tough few days for them.
Emotions In Mind
We are emotionally on edge for a lot of reasons. It’s OK to be human and to feel what you feel. My friends your heart can only bear so much. Let it out, you will be better for it.
Status Update
I hope everyone has had the best day possible. My friends’ things are tough but it’s OK to chill out and enjoy some rest from the chaos. May you find grace and peace this week. Be safe and well good people. How are you doing?
A Different Easter, Celebrating Online In Community

This Easter morning was a different one. Instead of gathering at church for worship it was watching via YouTube. Many churches have celebrated in a similar way. For me it was good to have a shared experience with other believers who are doing the same. For many this is a time of life defeating death. Thanks to technology this is possible and it seems to have more meaning in this time of pandemic. My priest and the staff at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Chattanooga, TN have done great work in this new normal we are going through.
