Hi there, my name is Tony Burgess (my friends call me T-Bird) from Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA. I am a believer, bleeding heart, idealist, and blogger. I'm married to Laura the Soup Diva and a dog dad to Frankie, Cody, and Mikey. Daily I work for a blood bank recruiting donors. My blog is where I chronicle and curate the sacred, serious, and silly things in my life. I am a member of The Episcopal Church. Thank you for connecting with me. Grace, peace, and love!

Getting Away From It All

We have been to Cabana Bay twice now and it reminds me of how important it is to get away from it all. You need to escape from the everyday every now and then. I have a problem relaxing and chilling out so I have to leave everything behind to do that. That can be expensive though. Our time away helps us reconnect with each other and our own selves. There’s too much coming into my head so it’s hard to let much of it go. I am glad to be in Florida. Now I have to find out how to have calm and peace in Chattanooga.

Vacation Pix

Thanks for putting up with my stream of vacation pictures today. Sometimes such a thing can be annoying. You have been great good people.

Monday on Vacation Is Awesome

I am on vacation and this Monday is very different and that is good. The sun is shining over central Florida and the weather is going to be great. Getting away from the normal routine of things is very nice. We have some fun things to do around the Cabana Bay resort today. Breakfast is calling and my stomach is growling. Have a great day good people.

This week we are going to Florida to celebrate our anniversary as well as have a much needed vacation. We hope to reconnect and renew our bond over the next few days. I love my wife for being a great partner and friend. I appreciate her support and tolerance of me all these years.

My WordPress Blogging Anniversary…One year ago I started experimenting with WordPress because I felt like the corporate instability of Yahoo would impact it’s Tumblr blogging division where I was blogging for a long time. The more I blogged here the more I liked it. I found there were some incredibly creative, thoughtful and unique people doing some great things here. I had previously blogged here but nothing serious. So this is my first anniversary blogging here full time as my primary blog. I am thankful for you all for making this a great place to be and welcoming me warmly. Keep on blogging good people.
