Two Amazing Men Who Influenced and Loved Me

There are two men who influenced me to be the geek I am and they are Gary Burgess, my dad and Leon Webb my granddad. Both my dad and granddad influenced me to pursue the life and interests that I have embraced. Without them I wouldn’t be a computer enthusiast, photographer, music fan, sci-fi fan or a blogger among many other things. More importantly they were and example of serving others and loving God. They are the two most important men in my life. I am truly grateful. I love them very much.

Following Back

When someone follows my blog I wanna check their blog out in return. I am the type that typically follows back. Keeping one’s blog up-to-date on their profile is helpful. At any rate I enjoy seeing blogs from all over the place. On your avitar be sure your chosen blog is accessible. Just saying.

With no Walmart, Texas town has no grocery store – Videos – CBS News

Walmart has closed 154 stores in 27 states, resulting in over 10,000 employee layoffs. Many of the stores that closed were the only source of groceries in the areas they served. David Begnaud is in Whitewright, Texas, where residents now have to drive 22 miles for groceries.

  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 3 medium-sized zucchini
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan
  • 2 tbsp dry bread crumbs (seasoned or plain, your choice)
  • 2 tablespoons chopped parsley
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
Use tool of your choice to make “zoodles” (long noodle-like strips) from the zucchini (there are countless ones on the market; you can also use a vegetable peeler but it will take longer). Melt butter in a LARGE skillet over medium high heat (7 on my stove). Stir in garlic and red pepper flakes until incorporated, then add zoodles. Stir in liquids; season if needed with salt and pepper. [At this point, turn the oven on broil.] Bring to a simmer and cook until zoodles are softened. Add shrimp and sprinkle with…

I am enjoying some hard earned hard root beer (there’s alcohol in it). It’s yummy stuff. I am going probably down two of them tonight to help take the edge off the week. The stuff is good.

3 DAY QUOTE CHALLENGE – QUOTE 3.3

Continuing the quote challenge theme of hope.

On every front there are clear answers out there that can make this country stronger, but we’re going to break through the fear and the frustration people are feeling. Our job is to make sure that even as we make progress, that we are also giving people a sense of hope and vision for the future… US President Barack Obama

Bonus Quote
