In A Slump, Keep Your Cool

When one is in a slump whether it be personal or professional it’s always good to ask for help. Asking questions of others who have life experience to help you though tough times and can make things better for everyone. Never be afraid to admit when you don’t know something. I have learned to be persistent and patient when you find yourself in a tough situation. Work smart and keep your cool a slump is a temporary thing.

Monday, September 29, 2015

It’s another Monday and aren’t we all glad?…well not really but lets keep a stiff upper lip. My weekend was a good one and now its time to make the donuts. My work has become a little more challenging for various reasons. I hope to be able to prove myself without a safety net.

It’s hard to believe these are the final days of September and that Thursday its going to be October…really where has the year gone? Let’s work hard and have the best week possible. Hang in there good people.

Making Sense Out Of Insane Things

You thought I was going to write on something else by the title of this post. Well in a way I am but from a twist framed in what many of us are here for.

Friends, I believe in blogging and what it does to promote sane conversations about insane things. When you take time to think things through and hopefully make a little sense then it can help foster mature conversations. People can control the conversation here better than Facebook or other social platforms. We all have a great venue to share what is in our hearts and in our heads as well as where we live. So in this crazy world perhaps blogging is needed more than ever.

Perhaps we can change the world a little or perhaps talk someone off the cliff. Use your superpowers for good because the world needs as much of it as it can get.

Farewell CSI: Crime Scene Investigation

CSI: Crime Scene Investigation has been a ground breaking show for 15 years. It told stories of a crime lab in Las Vegas led by some really smart people whose mission was to solve crimes using science. There will not be a show like this again that made this much impact on television again. Thank you for entertaining us and inspiring many to pursue the work of justice.

From The Archives

I will be bringing from time to time archived posts from old blogs I have. You who have been with me for a couple of months or a few weeks might enjoy some of my previous posts. I also think your feedback will be interesting to check out. Thanks for following along and checking out what I have to say.

Sundays and Sunday Afternoons

I have found that Sunday afternoons are about relaxation and renewal. There is a slowed rhythm of this time of the week that allows you to enjoy your favorite pursuits with leisure.

For me, it’s chill time after the morning of being at Church. It’s that time at worship where I am lifted up spiritually. This being the Sabbath also allows time to reconnect with God. There is also a time of spending time with the important people in my life.

On my Sunday’s after church I spend time with my wife where we catch up on TV, have lunch and engage in corporate and individual activities. Today for example we watched last nights Saturday Night Live and then she read and I did some stuff on the computer. Also we napped which is a good thing.

Our world is full of chaos. Having a time for yourself, regaining yourself and having some recreational fun can be good for you. Getting away from it all even at home can benefit everyone. Also there’s nothing wrong with unplugging a bit (advice I really suck at).

Enjoy these times. Sunday afternoons can refuel your soul and give you some control back on your life. Have fun friends!
