Hi there, my name is Tony Burgess (my friends call me T-Bird) from Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA. I am a believer, bleeding heart, idealist, and blogger. I'm married to Laura the Soup Diva and a dog dad to Frankie, Cody, and Mikey. Daily I work for a blood bank recruiting donors. My blog is where I chronicle and curate the sacred, serious, and silly things in my life. I am a member of The Episcopal Church. Thank you for connecting with me. Grace, peace, and love!
We are at our midway point of the week good people. The weeks end is in sight. I am getting things done at work today and looking forward to a busy weekend. At work this morning we had breakfast as a company and tonight as a department I will have dinner with my team. So I will be eating all three meals here at my workplace. It’s like I live and work in this building which is not a bad thing. I love my work so its not a big deal. Whatever you are doing today make it awesome.
I am over the heat and humidity. So ready for Fall. This morning it was already hot and sticky. Yes I know its worse in other places but here its just time for a cool down.
I just bought tickets for Saturday’s football/soccer national championship game on Saturday. This is going to be fun, competitive, rowdy and festive. They expect 10,000 plus for the game and this is fourth division competition. Chattanooga FC has captrued the imagination of our city and its exciting to see the rally of this scrappy team. It’s going to be a great match.
We had dinner tonight with some friends we haven’t seen in awhile. They are an older couple who are in their 70’s but look way younger. It’s good to catch up with people from your past. Our shared spiritual experience brought us together ten years ago but now things have changed. People come and go as a fact of life but it’s good when they come back together again. This evening it was good to eat Mexican food and have nice conversation with two good people.
