Hi there, my name is Tony Burgess (my friends call me T-Bird) from Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA. I am a believer, bleeding heart, idealist, and blogger. I'm married to Laura the Soup Diva and a dog dad to Frankie, Cody, and Mikey. Daily I work for a blood bank recruiting donors. My blog is where I chronicle and curate the sacred, serious, and silly things in my life. I am a member of The Episcopal Church. Thank you for connecting with me. Grace, peace, and love!
This article has some great insight into the transformation of Bruce Jenner into Caitlyn Jenner from one person’s spiritual perspective. Perhaps we can learn something from it.
I think everyone should say thank you to the people that clean up after us. Drive us around on a bus. Prepare and serve our meals. Help us with our cell phone bill (even when we don’t get our way). The people who are making a living helping us out deserve our thanks everyday.
Compliments are great when you can get them. They are even better to give. However it seems that folks aren’t used to getting them these days. We hear and experience such negativity that we need reminding of how special we are. It could be how we look on any given day or perhaps you have done something great for someone. Either way getting acknowledgment for it is fantastic. Lifting the spirits of those around you can be a great way to build people up. Lord knows we get enough tearing down.
