A Christmas Story, A Christmas Tradition
“You’ll shoot your eye out”…not for watching this classic Christmas film. This is a sweet story about one family’s Christmas in the first part of the 20th century. It’s also about friendship and doing whatever you can to get the gift you want for Christmas. Very American eh. It’s a favorite of ours each year.
Quote Of The Day
For every minute you are angry you lose sixty seconds of happiness.
Ralph Waldo Emerson
Thought Of The Day 12182023
I am a believer who thinks science, data, logic, and reason matter as much as religion. Some decisions must be made using tools that were given to men and women for operations of a lot of things. Religion has a purpose in the lives of many but it isn’t the only factor in a believer’s life. God gave us brains and a heart and when we don’t use them they can do great harm to others. Also, don’t be afraid of the future. Don’t look back because you aren’t going that way.
The Second Sunday Of Advent

Today is the third Sunday of Advent. Joy is the theme for today’s celebration. The candle is pink which is different from the other three that are purple. We all need more joy in our lives. God be with you all good people. The above picture is the screen we use at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church to produce our live stream of our services on YouTube and the Advent wreath is in the upper left picture.
Eight Days Until Xmas
