Hi there, my name is Tony Burgess (my friends call me T-Bird) from Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA. I am a believer, bleeding heart, idealist, and blogger. I'm married to Laura the Soup Diva and a dog dad to Frankie, Cody, and Mikey. Daily I work for a blood bank recruiting donors. My blog is where I chronicle and curate the sacred, serious, and silly things in my life. I am a member of The Episcopal Church. Thank you for connecting with me. Grace, peace, and love!

32 Is Too Young

A young lady I know just passed from Covid-19. She was 32. Way too young. Be sure you are doing what you can to protect yourself and others. God be with her family and friends during this time.

Free Speech And Bad Info Have Consequences

I’m for free speech. However, when speech is harmful then it needs to be called out. Dangerous words are like fire that needs to be snuffed out. Sometimes that means people should lose their privileges on platforms where their bad info can become viral and mislead the masses.

Strength With A Twist

I really thought this cartoon was great. It certainly give a twist on being a strong person giving someone a lift. Words can be as strong as muscles if used the right way. Be strong today in a different way.

Getting Away From Reality

I really need to get away from cable news. The election is over and perhaps more fiction and news from regular people would do me some good.

Right now I am doing some pretty heavy reading for my religious studies class so I don’t have it in me for more reading. Blogs are an exception to that rule though.

However, I am binging some sci-fi, fantasy and a little juicy romance on some streaming services so there is some balance there. I also watch stuff on regular TV. I guess anything you can do to provide a diversion in the days we live in at the moment.

It’s A New Week, Bring It On #MondayMotivation

I Need To Do Better

There are times when I don’t think I am a good person. Sure I am human, and I make mistakes and I repeat them which is not good. No excuse seems good enough when you can’t seem to get things right. This is a confession and not a plea for pity. I need to do better.
