Winning The Game Of Life

The best game to win is the game of life and you can score big points by helping others. Wearing a mask, donating blood, giving to a food bank, volunteering for a local charity, recycling, advocating for the less fortunate, all of it can be good for you and for others. Do these things because it will make you a winner in the eyes of many and a hero too.

National First Responders Day on October 28 recognizes the heroic men and women who make it their business to take immediate action when disaster strikes. Think Firefighters, police, paramedics, and more who get the call in times of an emergency. These brave people are found in every community everywhere. It’s not hard to understand and appreciate the dangerous and challenging work they do.

Good Results Are Negative Results

I got my COVID19 test results back on Tuesday and all is well as my results were negative for the virus. I am glad to be free of the virus although I do have the COVID19 antibodies. Getting the test was a good thing to do to be sure. COVID19 is nothing to mess with and it is still a part of our reality.

Working Late Hours At Blood Assurance

A school bus crash in a nearby town led to me working late tonight. I work for a regional blood bank. My job is to call blood donors to recruit them to donate. The bus crash required us to be sure a safe and adequate supply would be available for this incident and other situations.

As of this post two fatalities have been reported and children taken to a hospital in the city where I live. It’s been a busy day. It will be busy on Wednesday.
