Happy First Day Of Fall 2020

Today in the Northern Hemisphere it is the Autumnal Equinox also known as Fall. This is my favorite season because the weather is getting cooler and it just feels cozy. I hope everyone has a great beginning to this new season and that we will all find comfort in crazy times.

Six Word Story

Being a nice guy is tiring.

Hello Sunshine Monday!

Trust me I’m not as bright eyed as this bitmoji today or most days. Have a good Monday my friends. Do good things today for one another and yourself. Grace and peace to you all!

Sunday Reflection: Fairness

As we have seen lately life is so not fair. It can be annoying that way. Things are difficult for everyone. The Rolling Stones sang you can’t always get what you want, that is wisdom for everyone. No one can win all the time. Life is set up for some adversity and the lessons taught there are valuable.

Fairness is something hoped for however it isn’t always what you get. The world has lost so many good people in the past few months that its very human to ask where the fairness is here. It can be tough for all of us to keep going when there is always something that can smack you across the face and make you feel like nothing is going right. When we see injustice happening it’s understandable to say something isn’t fair.

Everyone should have some level of anger when you experience an unfair level of strife and disappointment. No matter what you must keep moving. Remember there are a lot of people who are going through the same thing. While someone gets away with all sorts of things, fairness can be a source of justice.

Sticking together can keep you going when the chips are down. No matter what time in your life you are entitled to ask why things aren’t fair. Someone has an answer, that’s fair enough I would think.

Gathering For Morning Prayers

Gathering together for the first time in months to worship and fellowship with masks on and social distancing. It was good to be at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church today with some good people.

A Horrible 2020

The year 2020 has been a dumpster fire in so many ways. So much sad news and happenings have made this year horrible. It’s depressing and demoralizing. On an important news day, I would be camped out in front of the TV watching all the updates, but I don’t have it in me now. There is so much doomsday porn going on that you just need a break from it all. If it is not one thing it’s another. So, we all must just do the best we can to get through. So, let’s hope for peace and some sort of order in these days we live in.
