Hi there, my name is Tony Burgess (my friends call me T-Bird) from Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA. I am a believer, bleeding heart, idealist, and blogger. I'm married to Laura the Soup Diva and a dog dad to Frankie, Cody, and Mikey. Daily I work for a blood bank recruiting donors. My blog is where I chronicle and curate the sacred, serious, and silly things in my life. I am a member of The Episcopal Church. Thank you for connecting with me. Grace, peace, and love!

Quote Of The Day

Fight for the things that you care about, but do it in a way that will lead others to join you.

Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg

Ruth Bader Ginsburg 1933-2020 – Rest in Power #RBG

A trailblazer, a supreme justice, a role model. Thank you, Justice Ginsburg, for all you did to make justice for all mean something. Your work will continue in those who you influenced. We are a better country because you served.

This Is The Way, Now!

Sometimes I will disappoint, sometimes I will surprise. I will always be myself. This is the way, now.

Happy Rosh Hashanah – #RoshHashanah

Rosh Hashanah , the Jewish new year, is a fall holiday, taking place at the beginning of the month of Tishrei , which is actually the seventh month of the Jewish year (counting from Nisan in the spring). It is both a time of rejoicing and of serious introspection, a time to celebrate the completion of another year while also taking stock of one’s life.

To all my friends celebrating may this be a time of blessing and contemplation. May this be a year of new beginnings and love for all.

Spinning Some Vinyl – Styx Paradise Theater

I am using my new record player for the first time today. I was awaiting the first record I ordered, “Paradise Theater” by Styx to arrive before spinning some vinyl today. I am musically being transported back to my youth here.

The record player itself sounds good although a little more bass would be nice.
