If It’s Summer It’s Chili For Dinner

Yes, it’s in the 90’s here in Chattanooga but homemade chili sounds good for dinner tonight. It’s cooking low and slow today.

Rep. John Lewis Thank You For All The “Good Trouble” Rest In Power Good Sir #johnlewis

Former President Barack Obama presenting John Lewis with the Congressional Medal of Freedom.

Representative John Lewis of Georgia is a titan in the cause of civil rights, gay rights and human rights. Mr. passed away on July 17th, 2020 after a battle with cancer. His life was dedicated to making the world a better place for everyone. In every sense of the word he was a patriot. Thank you good sir for all the good trouble you caused in changing the world for many. You did things for others at your own peril and safety. Your legacy will be one celebrated in history and memory. Rest in power Mr. Lewis.

When you see something that is not right, not fair, not just, you have to speak up. You have to say something; you have to do something.
