Remembering The Pulse In Orlando #lgbtq #pride #orlando

Remembering the Pulse Nightclub shooting in Orlando 4 years ago. It was a very sad day for the LGBTQ community and their allies. May those lost never be forgotten and may it be a reminder how fragile life is.

Flashback Friday #FBF – Marvin Gaye – What’s Going On #BLM

Picket lines and picket signs. Don’t punish me with brutality. Talk to me. So you can see

Marvin Gaye – What’s Going On

A song from the past can easily speak to the present. Marvin Gaye does that and so much more in this track.

Hello Friday, Nice To See You!

My friends, it’s Friday! I am taking a much deserved day off to do a few things and to just chill out. I hope we all have a great day. Smile if you can today.

Throwback Thursday #TBT – 2016 Riverbend Festival #Chattanooga #Coronavirus

The Coca Cola Stage the main event stage of The Riverbend Festival in Chattanooga

Coronavirus has caused life to be paused and events to be cancelled such as music festivals. Every June the Riverbend Festival is held in my hometown of Chattanooga, Tennessee and this years event was postponed and then cancelled. Who knows when these sort of events will be held again. I can wait until life is more stable and secure before going back to concerts and sporting events again.

This background appeared on my work computer when I started my day this morning. It’s very encouraging to see that the work I do is vitally important. Being a hero is fun.

Johnny Cash – Man In Black

I wear the black for the poor and the beaten down Living in the hopeless, hungry side of town I wear it for the prisoner who has long paid for his crime But is there because he’s a victim of the times

Johnny Cash – The Man In Black

An appropriate song for the times we live in. This song is a protest song of sorts I think. He in his own way is aware of the plight of others and I so appreciate that.
