Hi there, my name is Tony Burgess (my friends call me T-Bird) from Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA. I am a believer, bleeding heart, idealist, and blogger. I'm married to Laura the Soup Diva and a dog dad to Frankie, Cody, and Mikey. Daily I work for a blood bank recruiting donors. My blog is where I chronicle and curate the sacred, serious, and silly things in my life. I am a member of The Episcopal Church. Thank you for connecting with me. Grace, peace, and love!

Thought Of The Day

When organizations and businesses are making life altering decisions it’s helpful to give those impacted a courtesy heads-up to let them know what is going on. Especially when it involves young people who have to make vital decisions that can impact their future. It also goes for others too. Candor is a good thing in situations like this.

Quote Of The Day

The duty of youth is to challenge corruption.
Kurt Cobain

The Veteran On The Job

Being a long-time employee anywhere can be rewarding. It can also be kinda lonely as co-workers come and go while you the veteran still remain.

You have made your share of mistakes and have been successful but does that experience and counsel mean anything to a younger co-worker? I mean is sharing your knowledge can help but some folks aren’t keen on getting it.

Being in one place for a long time is rare these days. Even five years is a long time in today’s job market.
