Hi there, my name is Tony Burgess (my friends call me T-Bird) from Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA. I am a believer, bleeding heart, idealist, and blogger. I'm married to Laura the Soup Diva and a dog dad to Frankie, Cody, and Mikey. Daily I work for a blood bank recruiting donors. My blog is where I chronicle and curate the sacred, serious, and silly things in my life. I am a member of The Episcopal Church. Thank you for connecting with me. Grace, peace, and love!

Affirmation

When you visit my blog and read my posts and like and comment on them that means I am doing good things here. Affirmation is a wonderful thing and those words make me feel good.

Stop The Comparing

I have a bad habit of comparing myself to others. Especially when they seem to be doing better than me in life. This is a self esteem problem I have and I have to get past it. It’s OK to be awesome along someone else who is awesome in a different way. This is a lesson I need to learn.

Saying Farewell To Blogging

Don’t worry, I am not going anywhere but some folks choose to walk away from blogging or other things they love for various reasons. Sometimes it’s the need to do something new or to have a fresh start. Trust me I understand that. But I encourage people to think hard about doing that.

Making connections with people from all over the world is one of the reasons I stay on WordPress.com and the fact they do the behind the scenes stuff.

Blogging is an exchange of ideas and the telling of one’s story in real time and I really like that part of the whole thing. Deleting your blog takes courage and it’s sad when someone does it. So as I always say keep on blogging about everything and anything that you see in life and that inspires you. Also keep it fun and enjoy the process.

Today, August 13th Is Left-Handers Day!

Happy Left-Handers Day to my fellow southpaws out there. Just a reminder we are the only ones in our right minds. Lefties like me are special people!
