That’s right, it’s Monday. Let’s fake it until we make it today. Let’s see what happens. Grace and peace to you all this week.

Hey, guess what???? The Internet is full of opinions and commentary. Like noses, we all have opinions about one thing or another. Some opinions are informed and helpful, while others are not. I don’t believe everyone feels the same way about everything. You look at what people are saying and it comes from a place of one’s experiences and values. No matter where you go on the Interweb someone has something to say. It’s OK to have opinions, just try not to be hurtful or personal in expressing them. I am certain that whoever reads this will have some feedback for me.
Recently, many billionaires have been throwing around their money and influence. Many of them are impacting the lives of millions with their close ties to the new government. I can’t help but think about what good they could do if they just put their money not into politics but into people who are in need.

Power is seductive and it is also dangerous. I won’t mention any names but you have certainly seen their names in the news as of late. It’s sad how much money goes into buying a seat at the table where decisions about people’s lives are made. Most of the time those decisions negatively impact everyday individuals. The old saying goes money is the root of all evil or in this case, the people who have money.
As Cyndi Lauper once sang “Money Changes Everything” and its truth. Money does make the world go around. I ask how much money is enough how much power is enough? I guess the world will suffer at the hands of oligarchs who really don’t care as long as they get theirs. Greed I guess for lack of a word is good in their mindset.

It’s the weekend finally and I’m starting off with a fresh cut and beard trim. This look serves me well. Let’s try to put the week that was behind us. Love and peace good people.
We know through painful experience that freedom is never volunteered by the oppressor; it must be demanded by the oppressed… justice too long delayed is justice denied.
Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Human progress is neither automatic nor inevitable… Every step toward the goal of justice requires sacrifice, suffering, and struggle; the tireless exertions and passionate concern of dedicated individuals.
