Hi there, my name is Tony Burgess (my friends call me T-Bird) from Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA. I am a believer, bleeding heart, idealist, and blogger. I'm married to Laura the Soup Diva and a dog dad to Frankie, Cody, and Mikey. Daily I work for a blood bank recruiting donors. My blog is where I chronicle and curate the sacred, serious, and silly things in my life. I am a member of The Episcopal Church. Thank you for connecting with me. Grace, peace, and love!

Man At Work, Hard Work At That

On the job I work very hard in the beginning of my day to reach at least 75% of my daily goals. Granted my personal expectation is higher than what my supervisor demands. I want to set a good example. However when my goal is reached I find myself dealing with a late-day burnout. Maybe this case of fatigue is brought on by my desire to be the best or something else.

I am trying to find a way to spread some of this out so that at the end of the shift I am not exhausted. The work I do on face value is not difficult but the execution of it over a period of 8 or so hours can be very challenging. My philosophy is to be hard wood that burns long and evenly over time, not kindling that burns up quickly. See where I am going here.

Retro Packaging, Me and My RC Cola #RCCola

img_20180522_174345

I stopped off at a local convenience store for some snacks today and I saw this retro labeled bottle of RC Cola and I just had to have it. This brand of cola has been around for a very long time and this logo is cool looking.

Many brands are using old packaging and labeling to spark nostalgia in people like me who eat and drink it up. RC Cola was a staple during my college years because it was a quality product at a lower price. During Christmas you see other products turning back the clock and I am all for it.

World Goth Day

3117

I am in no way Goth but I know people who have been and still are and they are living their truth and light in a very unique way. The Goth you see is probably a very spirit filled person who marches to the beat of their own drummer. Goth On Good People!
