Royal Wedding Day – Harry and Meghan Get Married

p05vr9qs

Prince Harry marries Meghan Markle today at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle. I woke up at 4 AM Eastern Time today to watch the service because I am such a Anglophile and a big fan of current events like this. Today is a day of joining two people who are doing great things for others.

Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby will conduct the service but the Most Rev. Michael Curry who is presiding bishop of the Episcopal church of which I am a member of will be delivering a sermon so I am excited about that.

The Royal Family along with people from charity, celebrity, sport and the community are gathered together to celebrate this joyous day. This is a happy occasion, love rules and wins.

Commentary On The Day

Tomorrow is the royal wedding of Prince Harry and Ms. Meghan Markle. I think it takes on greater significance because of the tragedy around the world the day before their nuptials. We need love, we need beauty, we need something to hope for in our relationships with special people and others we encounter in our daily lives.

We are seeing chaos all around and a wedding can be a diversion and perhaps a time to dream a little. Today’s school shooting in Texas and the plane crash in Cuba are tragedies, serious things to have on our hearts however we do have room for history in the making.

My friends hold close those you love, be of good faith. Learn to be romantic again. God is with us in all the chaos. Say “I do” to living and to remembering.

Six Word Story

It’s never too late for success.

Thought Of The Day

Saving your community and keeping your friends safe is a noble cause. This is a sacrifice people make daily but at what cost to the individual who leads in that cause. Just something that came to my mind after watching the DC Comics show Arrow.
