This is such a good song with some classic styling and great vocals by Martha Davis. “Only The Lonely” is on the soundtrack of my youth in the 1980’s.

Thirty-two years ago The Breakfast Club assembled for the first time and a movie classic built on timeless teen angst and coming of age was born. This movie came out when I was a teenager back in the 1980’s and it is a movie for all generations. From back in 1995 this is Dionne Farris’ hit “I Know”. It’s a really catch song with a ecclectic feel to it. I remember this song was a part of my post-college music rotation.
The Music On My Blog
Part of the mission/purpose of my blog is to chronicle and curate the stuff that has influenced and shaped who I am. The music posts are videos you don’t see very often from groups you might have not heard of before. My dad along with the radio and MTV/CMT influenced my taste in music. My regular routine includes Music Monday, Tunes Tuesday along with Throwback Thursday and Flashback Friday and soon Sounds of Saturday/Sunday.
I hope you enjoy seeing something new to you and perhaps you too will find something you like in the music from a long time ago.
