This is Chattanooga’s Riverbend Festival from 5 years ago. This year’s festival was very different and did not feature the giant stage you see in this post. Also it has been shortened to 3 days too.

In many places of worship services have been conducted online in various presentations. My church hasn’t met since March and we are using local health department stats to determine when we will return to in-person worship. I have to say I miss being in my church home with my church peeps.
However at this time nothing is more important than safety for our congregation where you have a mixed demographic of people, health concerns and ages.
Doing church sometimes means being away from a building and that’s OK. I miss serving in worship but loving thy neighbor means doing the hard job of caring for them not only spiritually but physically too.
May God bless all people, everywhere who are just trying to get by these days.
I know on the calendar it’s Fall but the weather is more like Summer. So with that thought I present Richard Marx in his hit song Endless Summer Nights. Our weather here is very Summer like and it doesn’t seem to be letting up in the coming days.
This picture of the Horseshoe Falls was taken from the nearby Skylon Tower. Niagara Falls is one of the most impressive display of natural power I’ve ever seen.
I heard this song on the radio driving to work on a Thursday morning and realized that the music tells a great story in as much as the lyrics. It’s interesting and has a great groove to it.
In searching for a Throwback Thursday picture in my photo collection I saw how much has changed in the past five years. Things have come and gone. People have come and gone. Pretty remarkable things have happened. I used to be way more involved with stuff but now I’m not. My spiritual home has changed too.
A lot can happen in five minutes and five hours and five days and five months and five years. Something about five years that can inform you that you are different but that’s OK. Life is meant to be like this but with change comes some adjustment and the ability to cope.
We will all have moments in time when the here and now doesn’t look like it did then.
This monster “chased” me around Blowing Screams Farm Halloween attraction a few years ago. It was a lot of fun.
This is the “Twister: Aftermath” attraction from Universal Studios: Orlando, Florida. It was replaced recently by a Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon attraction. I have fond memories of this attraction based on the movie “Twister”.
