Happy Easter!

Happy Easter to you and yours. Jesus is alive and kicking so the story goes.

The In-between

Yesterday was Good Friday. Tomorrow is Easter. It’s in the in-between when there is much chaos and uncertainty. For those who followed Jesus, there is pain, turmoil, heartache, and many questions being asked. Like anything else in our lives, the time between two events in our lives can be a little unsettling. Patience can be a virtue but it’s very human to lose a little faith while waiting. As Tom Petty once sang “The Waiting Is The Hardest Part”. Sunday is Coming but getting through Saturday will be tough.

Good Friday, In The Name Of Love

Today is Good Friday which is the day in which Jesus Christ was crucified. Considering all the bad things that people do why would a good man like Jesus die a painful and shocking death so that people would have an avenue for life everlasting? I believe it’s all about love. Jesus taught us to love one another, love our neighbors as ourselves and so much more. He healed the sick, fellowshipped, got angry, and did so many more things all in the name of love. We are all worthy of that love. No matter who you are, who you love, people of all races and faces and who you have been in your past it’s that sacrificial love that matters the most. So this is indeed a Good Friday where we celebrate love. As U2 sings once more in the name of love.

In The Market For A Bible?

If you are in the market for a Bible, you don’t have to spend $60. If you have $60 donate that to charity that helps the needy and that sort of thing. Don’t give it to a person who is trying to pay their legal bills and bares bad fruit.

The Key Bridge In Baltimore Collapse

Tragedy struck today as a container ship hit the Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore, Maryland. Two people were pulled out of the waters below alive but sonar detects several cars at the bottom. This could have been much worse had it happened later in the morning. I hope that the missing will be found and those who survived will be well as soon as possible.

Funny Ha Ha!

Daily writing prompt
What makes you laugh?

I am a 54-year-old man with the sense of humor of a 15-year-old. For many men that is the case. I laugh at stupid things, dad jokes, and standup comics who are smarty pants. John Mullaney, Seth McFarlane, Will Ferrell, Taylor Tomlinson, and Eddie Murphy make me chuckle. I still enjoy anything by The Minions, Saturday Night Live, Stephen Colbert, and others. Of course, you go on YouTube and plenty of pet videos (especially birbs and dogs) can make me laugh. I think humor is kind of personal and with that being said what makes me laugh would make other people roll their eyes. I also like saying situationally funny things and sometimes it gets a laugh from those I love and respect. We need more laughter or else we will all go mad.
