Don’t Panic, Stay Cool

Everyone goes through a rough patch about something. Trying not to panic and staying cool through it all is a challenge. Our response to stressful events in life says a little about who we are. People react differently to things and its easy to lose your composure when facing a difficult situation.

My advice is to breathe, meditate, pray. Keeping things in perspective can be helpful. Breaking down something big into more manageable elements is always good. Little victories can snowball into big wins. So my friends whatever you are going through is a temporary event, you can make it through, do your best.

Don’t panic, stay cool…have peace too!

The Muppets

There is a new Muppets show on ABC TV airing on Tuesday nights at 8:00 PM. It’s a hip, modern and clever. It’s shot in documentary style kind of like Parks and Recreation with lots of interviews featuring individual muppets. Miss Piggy has a talk show, Kermit is the executive producer and they are no longer a couple. Other muppets make up the staff of PIggy’s show. If you haven’t seen it yet, check it out…it’s really funny.

Surprise News From My Doctor’s Appointment

I always dread going for my 3 month checkups as a diabetic. Weight is the big thing with me and getting on the scale is something I really don’t like. Today I got a surprise in that I have lost 10 lbs. After vacation where I ate a good bit more than I usually do I expected to have had a gain over my last visit. Well it seems I am doing something right to shed this much weight. Good surprises are fun, even when you don’t expect them. Yea for good news.

Trying too hard

At times in my life I’ve tried to be cool, fun, hip. My friends I’m really none of those. Some folks try too hard to be something they are not. People struggling for acceptance have issues with self esteem and that means they will do whatever to be relatable and one of the crowd.

How many of us have tried to be one of the crowd, at a cost. I have done much of what I’ve talked about above however I have learned that being yourself, whoever that might be is always the best.
