We survived some nasty storms that came through the area yesterday afternoon and evening. This line of storms carried some nasty winds and rain with loads of lightning and thunder. After the storm is a time see what it did to ones property and the surrounding area. Some places had tornadoes while others just high winds that does its own sort of damage. The funny thing is that it rained hard but there wasn’t a lot of standing water this morning in our yard. Perhaps we needed the rain more than we thought. We lost power overnight but we got it back around 6 AM this morning which was good. Needless to say we are glad we made it though.
Life’s storms come and go but after each event we can evaluate how we coped and what we need to do to survive the next event. There is a metaphor there I believe.
After a 5 hour power outage the electricity is back on. Thanks to our utility company is great because of their service and the smartgrid. Power is something we take for granted.
If you need power for your smartphone just hook the USB cable to it and your laptop so you will have power to charge the phone when the electricity is out. It works like a charm assuming your laptop battery is charged.
We had a line of storms descend upon us tonight and it has done some damage in the area. Due to power outage I am posting this from my smartphone. We are safe and the storms have subsided. Now the storms are headed south into Georgia. I hope people around the area will be OK.
It’s sad that people have forgotten how to be kind to others. Bringing up appearance ones physical characteristics in a mean way is totally inappropriate. It really saddens me that people feel like they have to bring people down to elevate them. I think women get it in an unfair way. Maybe if some folks would learn some manners the world would be a safe place for everyone. Trolls are ruining the Internet for everyone.
