Returning To Work

Back to work, remotely. Thanks to my Blood Assurance team for being flexible to let me care for Laura and work from home. I haven’t forgotten how to make calls and talk to people.

Twenty Years With WordPress.com. How Can That Be?

How can it be that I’ve been with WordPress.com for twenty years? Now, I haven’t posted here for twenty straight years. I was posting elsewhere like Tumblr and Google’s Blogger platform among others. To everyone who has visited here, read my posts, interacted with me, and shared their stories I thank you. This is a great community. Blogging is very much alive in the hearts and minds of those who believe in its power to tell a better story and share more.

Keep on Blogging Good People!

A Saturday Morning Breakfast

This Saturday morning required pancakes, sausage and Tim Hortons coffee. It was a great way to start the day. Have a great day good people.

Welcome The Weekend

The weekend is here and I am glad. This feels like a weekend because I am scheduled to return to work remotely on Monday. I hope I remember how to do my job after a month away on family medical leave for my wife’s health scare. Let’s make it a good one good people.

Hi There! I Am Alive and Well

Friends, it’s been awhile since my last post. I have been taking care of my wife who had emergency surgery on April 18th to deal with a serious infection that was life-threatening. She had 3 surgeries to be sure all the infection and affected tissue was removed.

After her hospital stay she went to a physical and occupational rehabilitation hospital to heal and get stronger. I can say she is doing much better. Thank goodness for family, friends, work and insurance.

I have been her caretaker throughout all of this. This is what you do for someone you love. Taking care of wounds is a new skill I have. You know it may come in handy again sometime in the future.

This is an update that will mean the resumption of more regular posts. I have missed blogging, but other things have had my attention. My hope is that things will continue to get better, and we return to some sort of normalcy. I feel a Wordless Wednesday coming on tomorrow.
