Watching some YouTube videos today at lunch it seems the most hateful and negative people make it their mission to poison the experience for everyone. Positive people seem to be drowned out and suffer the wrath of those who are in such a dark space. The pessimistic climate we have online is discouraging. Maybe it’s time we including me lighten up and calm down.
Really. Some things are not worth the rise in ones blood pressure. Still beware the comments.
In memory of my dad who loved The Carpenters. He loved their sound and owned many of their records. This is for you Dad.
Going to work is a routine thing with a route you take daily. Today my route was blocked and I had to take an alternate way. Granted I don’t live in a “major” American city but my city is big enough for traffic jams especially considering there is road construction going on through the heart of downtown. Add to that some accidents that backed things up even more. My course deviation caused me to be late. It happens and rolling with the punches is the rule, not the exception.
The poor, the rich, the in-between can all be found in common places. Those spaces where they go to eat, drink, shop, put fuel in their vehicles, go to work, worship and that sort of thing. Common places are great equalizers and hopefully gives us perspective on our daily life. Without those common places we might not commune with one another. Social circles don’t always intersect. Sure there are surprises but they are few and far between. Observing our patterns of existence can be fascinating and eye-opening. Maybe while we are in those common places we can share a common cup of whatever we need to get us through this life.
Adults can be very stupid sometimes.
Of course I was watching Canadian election results on my cell phone. Doesn’t everyone? Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has his work cut out for him. Let’s see how everything shakes out.
