Saturday, November 25, 2017 is Small Business Saturday – a day to celebrate and support small businesses and all they do for their communities.
The local economy is impacted greater when one supports local stores and businesses this time of year. Many mom and pop shops are the work of people who do what they do out of love and to provide good jobs for their friends and neighbors. So today and throughout the holidays support those small businesses in your area that make a big differences.
Thousands of people gathered on the Tennessee River to usher in the Holiday season. It was a nice festival featuring a lighted boat parade on the river, vendors, food trucks and music from a local radio station. The evening capped off with fireworks. A fun time was had by all in attendance. I’m grateful to live in a community that does things like this.
Happy Friday everyone or I should say Happy Black Friday. Today is a busy shopping day for a lot of people. All the big retailers have some great deals going on today. May the odds be ever in your favor. Be careful, have fun, don’t get arrested over a toaster.
