Status Update

Pasta “e-z” Fagioli
This is a comforting soup that is nourishing and tasty. It makes a good amount for leftovers too.
- 1 cup pancetta or bacon, diced*
- 2 carrots, diced*
- 2 stalks celery, diced*
- 1 small onion, diced*
- 2 tsp garlic, minced
- 1 can white beans (rinsed and drained)
- 1 medium can tomato sauce
- 1 medium can diced tomatoes (with Italians seasonings if available)
- 1 1/2 cups small pasta (ditalini is traditional)
- 32 oz chicken broth
- 1 tbsp Italian seasoning
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Red pepper flakes to taste (optional)
- Italian parsley and grated or shaved Parmesan to garnish
Put pancetta, diced vegetables, garlic, salt, and black pepper in large crock pot on high for 1-2 hours; then add all ingredients except pasta and reduce heat to low. (If you are in a hurry, you can cook the meat and veggies on the stove, then put in the crock with all the other ingredients.) Being Inclusive In Ones Language
I think inclusive language is important these days. However that seems to be a moving target of what people want to be called. Pronouns are important but it seems like that rule changes frequently. Doing the right thing by people can be very hard. No one wants to be offended but eventually it will happen.
Perhaps grace and information can help people be more considerate, more kind to one another. If one is offended by what someone calls them in an attempt to reach out then perhaps some kindness and understanding that someone cares to try to meet where they are. What this is really is treating people as you would want to be treated or something like that. Names and titles are things that are important to people so I want them to be important to me.
Personally I don’t wanna get anything wrong. As a people pleaser I really want to do right by people because I think it’s the right thing to do.
Testing Out The New Blu Ray Player
We got a new Blu Ray player and per tradition we are watching the movie “Twister” to test it out. One of the best movies to check out ones AV equipment because of the visual and sound effects that make this movie such a sensory experience. With tornadoes, explosions, music and other fun things you get a feel of what your equipment can really do. It also helps the movie is a great one with a superb cast and so much more.
