The situation of the day requires all of us to stay strong but be calm. Strength comes from intelligence, wisdom, compassion, understanding, grace, peace and love. Look out for your neighbor and while you are at it look out for yourself. Be well my friends.
Intelligence, pragmatism, education, expertise, experience and competence are needed now more than ever from everyone, everywhere. Honest leadership would be good too.
Something tongue and cheek for the times in which we live these days. Not meant to make light of the situation. Needs more cowbell though.
I have on my desktop computer CNN steaming on the left monitor and the CDC Twitter feed on the right. Nerd corner is keeping an eye on things.
So I am on my 3rd cup of coffee today. I am starting to see things and my heart and brain or begging for mercy.
Social distancing is something that is smart in the crisis of Coronavirus/Covid-19. This morning my church decided not to gather in person but offered morning prayer online via YouTube as a way to keep our community connected during this season of Lent. Many houses of worship do this on a regular basis but for my church, this was something new and different. Typically we have music and communion that goes along with our mass but it was OK to forego those elements for a time.
Hopefully, we will be back together sometime during Holy Week and other things will return to normal as possible.
