Tunes Tuesday – The Motels, Only The Lonely
This is such a good song with some classic styling and great vocals by Martha Davis. “Only The Lonely” is on the soundtrack of my youth in the 1980’s.
#TBT Throwback Thursday – The Breakfast Club
Thirty-two years ago The Breakfast Club assembled for the first time and a movie classic built on timeless teen angst and coming of age was born. This movie came out when I was a teenager back in the 1980’s and it is a movie for all generations. The video above features the last scenes of the movie to the music of Simple Minds “Don’t You Forget About Me”.

#FBF Flashback Friday: The Police “Synchronicity 1”
A classic song from an epic record. The Police were an awesome band. I had this cassette and played it a lot on my stereo system. This live performance has lots of energy and sound. Another example of how cool the 1980’s were in music.
Tunes Tuesday – Frankie Goes To Hollywood: Relax
This is one of my favorite songs from the 1980’s. I had the cassette and played it a lot. “Relax” is featured in the Ben Stiller movie Zoolander.
Throwback Thursday Music: Spandau Ballet – “True” #TBT
I heard this song last night at the restaurant where we were having dinner and I was taken back to a great era in music. This song is smooth, soulful and very 1980’s British Pop (which I love).
The movie “The Wedding Singer” features this song as the last music you hear with Steve Buchemi singing.
