I am a big fan of this group. They have been featured on this blog on several occasions. This tune is from “Parallel Lines” a record released in 1978. My life is spent hanging on the telephone in “one way or another” (that’s for another post).
Dreaming can loosen you from the confines of ones existence to think about possibilities we would have never thought about while awake. We all need to imagine the impossible and think about what could be. God gave us a heart and soul and imagination.
After all dreaming is free.
BLONDIE’s “Call Me” hit #1 on the US & UK charts on this day 36 years ago on April 26th, 1980.
Official video of Blondie performing Rapture from the album Autoamerican. I have been a Blondie fan for years. This song takes elements of punk, rap and pop and fuses it together nicely.
I had a crush on Debbie Harry the lead singer of the group Blondie when I was an early teenager. Today she celebrates her 70th birthday which blows my mind. Here is her hit “Heart of Glass” to mark the occasion.
This seems appropriate in light of my last post. Dreaming is important everyone. We all need to do more of it.
Blondie was and still is a favorite music group of mine from childhood.
