Posting A Blog, Reading A Blog A Bit Slow

I have found the new blog posting system seems to be slower for me than before. I am running a Chromebook with decent specs but when viewing posts in the reader it seems a bit sluggish. I like the appearance and colors of the new front end but somehow it just seems to drag. This post is being written on the older post system which works great. I embrace change but sometimes you need to think about how change will impact others.

Blog Of Ages

It’s cool when bloggers of all ages connect and that our ages are just numbers. This is a world where our shared passion of blogging is what matters most. In my relationships with other bloggers I am probably the crazy cousin or uncle but I would rather just be me.

Really where else would someone in their early 20’s be friends with someone in their 40’s or 50’s and it be no big deal. I am grateful for the insights that I get from people who are older and younger than myself. Each of us have struggled and are discovering what it is to struggle in life and that makes this whole thing more fascinating.

We are all different and we all have different things that drive us. Our passions come from our influences and how we look at things in life.

So the blog of ages is about you and me and how we share our hearts and minds with others to make things better.

Rambling About Mobile Blogging

Blogging on ones smartphone can be a great way to post on the run. A downside to it is the auto correct feature that takes words you meant to say and turns it into something else. The result of that is a post that doesn’t make sense if you don’t proofread it, which I am guilty of doing. When blogging on your phone keep your posts short and be sure you proof as you go along. I encourage mobile blogging because its a great way to capture the events of life in real time. Your phone can be your friend in blogging.

I Believe In Inclusion

Speaking as a person who has been on the outside of life looking in I know the value of being included. It’s my personal goal to be as inclusive as possible with people in my life. Being excluded from things sucks if you ask me. It’s human nature to want to be valued and needed.

One thing I have learned from my experience is that life is too short not to enjoy life. A lot of people on the fringes would like that same experience and consideration. So many times in my life I have heard about situations where people were having fun and I wasn’t a part of it. I want to be sure that people in my life know they are welcome and that they are valued and wanted.

Six Word Story

Having humor online is very important.

A New Take on Fake People

The notion that people are “all fake” is not fair. Perhaps its a matter of not knowing who one is. Giving someone some grace as they try to find their identity is the best thing we can do, even if it frustrates us. I think people are trying to find their way at all stages of life. The way we react to certain situations reveals who we are and some folks are inconsistent in how they cope. I think there are a lot of people who give off the “fake” vibe but you know we are all broken people. Being genuine takes a lot of intentional work but you know its nice to help people along the way be better.
