On A Rainy Night Like This

Curl up with a good blog or two. It’s fun to catch up with your favorite bloggers. Also it’s an ideal time to write a couple of posts too. Keep on blogging.

Back on Facebook, Yeah I Caved

I am back on Facebook as of tonight. I caved. I am ashamed a little. Really it’s hard to have a modern online life without it. Much of what I do relies upon it for work and that sort of thing. I need to be more disciplined and not get sucked into the negative stuff there. So if you are on Facebook friend me there at tonyburgess1969 .

Blogging is still my prefered platform for expression and communication with the masses. Blogger til I die!

Farewell To Fellow Bloggers

When a blogger finds blogging no longer fun and decides to depart it is a sad thing. Their posts became part of your experience online and they informed you about them and perhaps a little about you. Sometimes people don’t have time or perhaps they lose their fire for it. I hope I never lose interest in this thing called blogging. So to all the bloggers who have moved on I say farewell and may God bless you down the road.

My Posts Of Late

My blog recently has taken on a more visual look to it. I have posted more pictures and YouTube videos. Compared to other bloggers I am not a very strong writer, although I get by I think. Sometimes you run dry on things to write about so you post other media that can tell your story or to advance your point of view. Posting daily helps keep your audience engaged which is a good thing. However there is a struggle to produce content and that can discourage some from even blogging at all.

Perhaps it’s time to do more writing, WordPress is filled with great writers and maybe I could be that someday. Words are important too you know.

Six Word Story

Blogging is more fun than Facebook.

Me @ Mid Life, No Crisis Here

Being yourself in your mid-forties can be an adventure. Some folks my age are having a mid-life crisis but I don’t think I am. Knowing who you are and being yourself I think can help you navigate life better. Some of us in our forties are still finding out what life is about and welcoming the changes. I think fear, like anything can drive people to do things that are not healthy or wise.

One word of advice for folks my age I have is to learn new things, do things differently every once and awhile and have fun. Get to know younger people who can help you stay current on what’s up in the here and now. Building bridges generationally can be fun. Have fun though being the age you are. Of course taking care of yourself is helpful too. Mid-life is different for everyone but I hope it comes later for you because you plan to live a long time.
