There is an old saying blossom where you are planted and for many that advice has served them well. It has served me well in some cases. People like plants need air, soil, water and sunlight in a matter of speaking in order to grow. Sometimes people need transplanting to a bigger pot in order grow more but often staying put can benefit you and the community you live in. Many people have found family, friends and connection being where they are and if one can find that it’s a true blessing.
Blossom was also a TV show starring Mayim Bialik from 1991 to 1995.
We are all looking for that place and space to find success. There is an old saying that you can bloom where you are planted however there are times when a change of location can make all the difference. To Flourish takes skill, talent and a little luck. Being affirmed in your life and work can go a long way into helping you flourish in all the ways of your life. Finding an opportunity to succeed can give your life added meaning and can give you purpose. Flourish where you can and do your best at whatever your life’s calling is.
Part of any transaction involves the skill of negotiation. You have to use not only technique but finesse in asking someone to do something you want them to do. Making a deal is an fine art that people practice every day. In my line of work I negotiate with people to give a unit of blood to save lives. Others hope to make a sale or to get things done. Peace requires negotiation too with experienced people making it happen. Negotiation sometimes means going through some dangerous places to get from one place to another.
The thing about overwhelming evil is that those who perpetrate it come from a place that what they think is the only thing that matters. Asserting what they believe and imposing that belief on others even when it causes great pain is just a horrible thing to do. People deserve to live without people in the shadows plotting against them and stripping their dignity, freedom and choice of life. Today I was reminded of how very damaged people exert revenge on the world because they feel the need to make others hurt.
A reservation is what you make for a restaurant that secures you have a table at that establishment for a specific time and date. A reservation can be something you aren’t so sure about which having that doubt and fear can sometimes save your life. Those are two different explanations for the word reservation but you know its good to have a reservation for food and for safeties sake in this crazy world we live in.
