Being Fussed Over

When I was in the hospital recently for two colonoscopy procedures, I was being cared for by nurses, technicians and a doctor. One thing I can say is that I am not used to being taken care of in such a manner. Being fussed over is strange to me.

Throughout my life I am used to taking care of other people which a part of being a “people pleaser” sort of person. I am used to being the one doing things for others. Maybe I do not want to be seen as lazy or something like that. As I go on in life perhaps I should practice some self care and allow others to help along the way.

Being fussed over is something I could get used to. But then again I never want to take that for granted. Believe me I am trying to get over that pleasing everyone thing.

Thought Of The Day

You can be a part of a team of heroes. All you gotta do is care then act through involvement. Capes optional.

How Much Care Is There Available

With all the calamity and chaos in the world its hard to care about it all. Of course we should all be concerned about things like nuclear missiles, earthquakes, hurricanes, typhoons, health care and the like but how much can the human heart and soul care about? Sure I feel grief over the earthquakes of Mexico, the big storms that seem to be happening all around us, nuclear arms in North Korea and the seeming hatred of giving everyone access to care to keep them alive without costing them an arm and a leg.

My gosh this is a lot to take in. Question is do we have the capacity to care about everything at every moment? How much care is available in our hearts and souls? We are all being put to the test it seems. I don’t know what to think of it all but to think about it from a place of faith and hope. Things have got to get better, don’t you think?

Life is scary, no promises were given as to how carefree it could be. Maybe we just should breathe in, have some gumption and hold on tight. Seems like that just might get us through.

I would think we would be doing everything possible to preserve life in all its forms and to seek peace in whatever ways we can. Let’s hope those who are making decisions will see that as a must do for everyone. Things can only get better.

Quote Of The Day

”Then they also will answer, ‘Lord, when was it that we saw you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not take care of you?’ Then he will answer them, ‘Truly I tell you, just as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to me.'”

(Matthew 25: 44-46 of The Holy Bible)
