Today was a special day for my parish, St. Peter’s Episcopal Church. We welcomed our new Priest Fr. Drew Bunting. He is going to be a blessing to me and our church. I really appreciate that he is a nerd and that makes him relatable to a lot of people. Fr. Drew welcome to St. Peter’s, we are glad you are with us. May God be with your ministry among us.
Today was local and state election day here in Tennessee. I did my civic duty and went to my local polling station to vote. We still do paper ballots with electronic tabulation here so I don’t get that thrill of going behind a curtain to a voting machine. Voting is as important for local and state races as it is for the federal and presidential races.
Americans, don’t forget to vote on November 5th. That’s a big one for reasons you know already.
It’s a new Monday and it’s raining where I am. A dreary combo if you ask me. Let’s have the best Monday possible good people.
This morning we went out to eat for breakfast at a local place called Sabor Modern Latino and Sushi where they have some great food. I had the huevos rancheros and The Soup Diva had a big breakfast burrito. You can get breakfast all day long in addition to their lunch and dinner options including good sushi. If you are ever in Chattanooga, Tennessee you should give them a try if you are looking for something unique and different.
It was cloudy where I was for today’s eclipse and I tried taking some pictures. This one heavily cropped photo was the best I could do. It was still exciting to witness this spectacle happen.
