I’m glad to be in a mature, levelheaded community of bloggers here. We don’t agree on everything but there is a standard of respect and comradery here that I deeply appreciate. It’s OK to speak your mind and it’s very important to have an open mind to others.I encourage friends on other platforms to give this spot on the web a chance. Keep on blogging good people.

Something About The Way Things Are
I don’t things are horrible or bad in general right now. Some folks are genuinely suffering because of a lack of work or perhaps poor health. Perhaps where they live has seen a down turn. But for the vast majority of us we are doing OK. Could we be doing better, sure but I think being grateful to our creator for what we have is a good thing. People in prior generations had love, family, community and modest possessions that were all they needed.
I look at what I have and I realize I am doing alright. The notion of making a country great doesn’t begin with economic and military advantage, no it begins with love, kindness and harmony. If you are reading this you are doing better than many but being great means sharing with others what you have. Good people don’t buy into negative rhetoric, buy into a vision of a good present and a bright future.
We are indeed better and stronger when everyone is taken care of. It’s a matter of being greater together.
International Day of Peace – September 21, 2016
Each year the International Day of Peace is observed around the world on 21 September. The General Assembly has declared this as a day devoted to strengthening the ideals of peace, both within and among all nations and peoples.
The Day’s theme for 2016 is “The Sustainable Development Goals: Building Blocks for Peace.”
My friends lets resolve to spend our lives seeking peace and love. We must reject violence, racism, bias, homophobia and hate. Our world is a fragile place where we all live together on the same planet. It must start in our hearts and spill out into our communities. It’s time to build bridges of hope and reconciliation to make our world a better place. For more information visit the United Nations page at International Day of Peace.
Hey There Wednesday!

Today Is #GivingTuesday, An Opportunity To Give Back
We are in a season of giving and receiving and it is better to give than receive. Giving Tuesday is a global day dedicated to giving back. On Tuesday, December 1, 2015, charities, families, businesses, community centers, and students around the world will come together for one common purpose: to celebrate generosity and to give.
Whether it be through a monetary donation or acts of service today is a day for all of us to give back a little of what we have been blessed with. For more info visit http://www.givingtuesday.org/ to see how you can give.
TV and Twitter
Have you ever watched a TV show just to see what people are saying about it on Twitter. Sometimes the comments are better than what you see on the screen. With this multi-screen entertainment environment we have going on it makes sense to have your device running twitter while you are tuned into your favorite show. The thing about it is that it works only when the show is live and bunches of people are commenting about it at the same time. Streaming DOES NOT offer this feel of communal viewing. I am old school like this and I like to see something live and on a big screen. I like the instant feedback that Twitter provides and it does influence people to continue watching something or just leaving it behind. So enjoy TV and Twitter at the same time.
