Transgender Day Of Remembrance – November 20

Transgender Day of Remembrance, is observed annually from its inception on November 20, 1999, to memorialize those who have been murdered as a result of transphobia.

As a CIS gender white male, I choose to remember the injustice and violence against people who are seeking the universal values of life, liberty and happiness. I have never been the victim of violence of a transgender person. My life has been enriched by knowing transgender people.

They are often scapegoats of problems that they are not the cause of. Too many transgender people have lost their lives. It’s not right, they should be treated like fellow human beings who desire to live authentically in their own bodies free from fear.

Something About The Epstein Thing

We all know who Jeffrey Epstein is. He was a horrible person who did lots of harm to lots of people. Without going into a drawn out post, I think anyone who had connections with him and was a part of his world should face scrutiny and justice. This includes Donald Trump. There should be no protecting him or anyone. The things that Epstein and his people did is heinous. The rule of law will be tested here, it must win always. There needs to be accountability and justice for those impacted.

Blogging About Reality From The Heart

Sometimes the only thing you can blog about is what is in your heart, and that is sometimes influenced by what is going on around you. It’s all good to be authentic and to react to what you are feeling about stuff. I like posts like that and bloggers who tell the story they want to tell. With everything going on, it’s time to speak up and speak out. Our blogs are our platform.

Thought Of The Day 10022025

I found this on Facebook and the sentiments are on point. This year feels like surgery while being awake. In my mind, the surgery is brain surgery or something like that. Everything is super painful, and it’s scaring the hell out of you, and the end is not in sight.

Quote Of The Day

We pray for peace that isn’t just the absence of gunfire but the presence of dignity and for justice that doesn’t wait for the next election cycle.

I Returned To Facebook Today

So, I returned to Facebook today. This is what I had to say.

Hello, is this thing on?

Seriously, I am returning to Facebook after a much-needed absence. You might want to know why I left for a while. I took a break over the current events of the day and, knowing that expressing them here isn’t always received in the spirit in which they are meant.

I see myself as a person of God who is deeply feeling and very imperfect. Friends, I don’t always get my faith 100% right, I make mistakes. But I do live by the command to love my neighbor as myself and welcoming the stranger, both of which are requirements. I also think that some people are just trying to make it in the world and are having the deck stacked against them.

What I have seen in the past couple of weeks was troubling my heart and soul. I am a LGBTQ ally and racism is vile. I am seeing a great deal of people having it rough these days.

With all that being said, I try to make sense of everything and I just couldn’t do that well and to share my heart and soul here. I do believe in universal notions of life, liberty, happiness for ALL. And in the places where we live, that is not afforded to everyone these days. There is too much fear, too much hate, too much harm being done.

If you wish to end your friendship with me, I wish you well. This is not me being dramatic, it’s me being real and authentic to who I am and who I desire to be as a human being who wants this world to not be so violent and to increase the love that God wants us to show.

Thank you for your time here. May God be with all of us in the times in which we live. May God be with those who are seeking fairness and mercy.
