The Ugliest Vehicle On The Road, The Cybertruck

The Tesla Cybertruck is the ugliest vehicle on the road, full-stop. Nothing else can compete with how ridiculous this thing is. If you happen to own one much respect. My missus said this looks like a stealth bomber and she couldn’t be more right. I hear these vehicles are not well-built. It’s easy to damage them, which doesn’t seem very safe. Fascinating in a weird sort of way.

Farewell Twitter, Elon Ruined You

I made the decision to leave Twitter. Well, I’m leaving until things improve there. Elon Musk has destroyed something fun and good on the Web. His decision-making is suspect at best as it comes to something outside his wheelhouse. I don’t think I will return anytime soon though. I am on the newly popular app Threads which seems to be growing quickly. You are welcome to follow me there at @tonyburgess1969. I hope to see you there.

Twitter Is FUBAR

Twitter is having a crappy Saturday. It’s effed up beyond all repair it seems.

It was better before Elon Musk took over. Now it’s quite broken like a McDonald’s ice cream machine.

Forty-Four Billion

As you may or may not know Elon Musk who is the richest person in the world is going to buy Twitter for a staggering $44 billion. Some would say it’s his money and he has a right to do with it as he pleases. But just think about what could be done to change the world other than buying a social network built on binary code and algorithms.

Homes, hospitals, and schools could be built in developing countries. People could have food on their tables by investing in farms and food programs for the poor. Research to heal people of diseases could be done and so much more. Lots of stuff could be done and I wish his money could go to all that.

My dad was a big fan of Elon because of Tesla and SpaceX. I don’t have a great deal of faith in him owning something so powerful that can impact the minds and hearts of already fragile people. Of course, we will have to wait and see what will happen to Twitter and those who use it daily for connection and community.
