New Year’s Eve

Today is the last day of 2024. It’s been a hell of a year for many reasons. I’m not sold on 2025 yet. Let’s finish the year and hope for the best.
Me And Nostalgia
We are in the Christmas season which is a hard time for me. Nostalgia is a powerful thing. Holiday memories come from a Christmas tree, church services, songs, food, gatherings, and more. All of those things can stir up emotions.
My father, grandfather, and grandmother are no longer with us. I miss them very much. They were a huge part of the holidays of the past and I so wish they were still with us.
Sure, nostalgia is present in other things and can trigger feelings under the surface. It’s like we all have things that make us pine for the things of the past. Nostalgia can be a great thing but it comes with a cost to your heart.

The Reality Of The Season
For many out there this is not a happy time of year. There are many reasons the joy of the season is muted due to realities that are ever present.
