World Mental Health Day, Mental Health Matters

There is a lot of stuff going on in the world today. The same could be said about our personal lives. Mental health is important and vital. For too long it was stigmatized. Lately it’s been a subject of focus because mental and physical health are connected. If you need help, get help. No need in suffering alone when you don’t have to. Your mental health should matter because it impacts more than just yourself.

About Our Time

Time is an unstoppable force and a journey. If we are fortunate we have people who will walk with us in this life. Our lives are like a string that is sometimes straight, sometimes crooked, sometimes knotted. No matter what we must live as each day is our last. Be thankful for every minute we have. Hit a home run, hit a 3-pointer, and spike the ball of life. Do what you can to make your life and the lives of others special.

Yeah, I Am A Religious Person

I am a religious person who was gifted a brain from my creator that I use openly, freely, and without control. I embrace freedom of spirit, mind, and will. I come in peace to understand and love others. I hope I set a good example of what that can look like to other religious people. I hope I make sense here.

Just so you know I am not a member of a cult nor am I brainwashed.

Happy Thanksgiving Canada

To my friends and all the wonderful people of Canada I wish you a Happy Thanksgiving. May this also be a mindful time of recognizing those in the First Nations community who are seeking truth and reconciliation. May all Canadians have access to justice and prosperity. Have a good day, eh.

Six Word Story

Politics is a strange, cutthroat beast.

A Pro Wrestling Commentary

I don’t know everything about professional wrestling. I do know I love the sport and want it to flourish everywhere. Sure I am a little tribal and I prefer the upstart All Elite Wrestling (AEW) to the crusty veteran WWE.

We all have our preferences. I have decided to post about wrestling from a positive, constructive position. Because it’s helpful and provides some balance I hope. Pro wrestling is about life because it’s about hopes and dreams. Good and bad. Dark and light. Sacrifice and pain.

When you look at the sport as a whole it’s doing better now than it was 4 years ago before the arrival of AEW. I look at pro wrestler Matt Cardona who was let go from WWE and has found his niche in the independent scene and he is wildly successful.

The word Independent should not be seen as a pejorative but as a word of opportunity to make a living going to places where there is a true adventure for the wrestler. Wrestling is not just WWE or AEW.

Wrestling has its share of cynics, critics, and the like but it doesn’t have to. At the end of the day, it’s men and women who just want to chase a dream, and if they are a little lucky they can lift a pretty gold belt that says they are a champion.

Support wrestling on every level. The future of the sport depends on it. Also just enjoy it and don’t sweat the details too much.

PS: I won’t discuss if pro wrestling is fake or not here. I don’t want that negativity thank you.
