Life is tough. Let’s hang on.
Six Word Story
Life is tough. Let’s hang on.
Life is tough. Let’s hang on.
Just in case you didn’t realize, I am a weirdo. Yep, 100%. Maybe each of us is weird in our own way. One thing about being weird is the things in life that makes one happy. Sometimes being weird means that finding people who share in your weirdness isn’t easy. I don’t think being weird is a choice, it’s how you are wired, it is core to who you are.
My friends, embrace what makes you different. It’s OK to march to the beat of a different drummer. I have found that weird things, media, people, and other stuff helps me cope with this world we live in.
I think more places need weird, quirky, unconventional, artistic people to make it better. Not being tied to the way others think is freedom. It’s about being authentic and not hiding things in a bushel.
To my fellow weirdos, I am with you. We are kin. We are community.

I think candy corn gets a bad rap. My workplace handed out this little pouch of candy corn in advance of Halloween. It is appreciated. How sweet of them.
Accurate, experienced journalism is important for keeping people informed and to keep the principles of democracy flourishing. When new organizations make cuts, that places all of that in peril. We depend on a free press to keep power in check.
Doris Kearns Goodwin said “Journalism still, in a democracy, is the essential force to get the public educated and mobilized to take action on behalf of our ancient ideals”. We need to remember these high ideals as times get tough and things change.
A certain ideology has taken root, and it isn’t good in many news operations around the country.
With all this said, I will miss the CBS Saturday Morning show with Dana Jacobson and Michelle Miller, the show was cancelled, and they lost their jobs. CBS just laid off a lot of people today. They are not changing for the better.
