I want to offer appreciation to local news journalists who are keeping us informed about what is going on in our backyards during these days of Coronavirus and now tornadoes and severe weather. Everywhere there is local information that needs to be reported. The news in your area matters and can impact your life in a profound way. These reporters really do deserve our thanks.
Discrimination is wrong. It is something that speaks to the worst in people and organizations. When it comes to making a living being LGBTQ folks should not be afraid of losing their rights to life, liberty and happiness. We are in the 21st century and the fact that discrimination is a problem for so many is quite sad. I hope for the very best today as the US Supreme Court decides some issues regarding LGBTQ discrimination. It’s time freedom is open for all.
CNN or Cable News Network was founded by Ted Turner back in the 1980’s. It is the first 24-hour news outlet in America and has been a valued source of information for a more than a generation. Cable News Network as it is also known has kept me informed and aware of what is going on in the USA and the world.
Lately its been under attack by the current occupant of the White House as being a spreader of fake news and information. The men and women of CNN have been on the front lines of journalism and news gathering. I support them and appreciate the service they provide. None of their employees deserve the vile words that have been lobed at them. No news outlet is 100% accurate but they work hard to get things as accurate as possible. Its truly sad that they have to endure this and I hope for better times ahead.
In the era of dubious information please check links to stories you see on Facebook or any other social platform. Some of what you see is clickbait and meant to look official by making you think the story is legit. Be careful in the information you are sharing because it could end up hurting someone in spreading information that is not true in the end.
