I have been a caregiver to my wife, who had emergency surgery in April to clear a severe infection that could have been fatal. Part of that caregiving is wound care. I received a crash course in taking care of her significant surgical wounds before she left her rehabilitation hospital on May 9th. Since then I have practiced the art of applying gauze, pads, creams, saline, and other things to help her heal. So in a sense I have mastered that skill as much as an amateur nurse can.

A Follow-Up To My Data Center Post
After pondering what my last post on data centers was about, I can think of some alternative data centers that would be helpful in our communities. We need properly funded and stocked libraries and other places of knowledge where people can learn and grow using technology that isn’t destructive or invasive. Data centers wreck everything around them. Making human connections in community centers and the like. Artificial intelligence should have more human-centered actual intelligence built in to give it some balance.
Just Saying – Fewer Data Centers
Instead of more data centers, I think there needs to be more investment in public schools and other stuff to make our communities better. We need to have better priorities. Data centers aren’t good for the environment. We need better things in our communities to make them better.

A Rainy and Restful Sunday
There is nothing like a rainy Sunday to calm and cool things down. It’s also a time to rest and renew before the upcoming week. This week is going to be an eventful one for a few reasons. So, it’s nice that we get a chance to chill. Now our dog doesn’t get that point very well; you can’t have perfection all the time.
