This sign is posted in one of the elevators at my work. Listening is an important part of leading people. You have to be able to take information from those who you work with, process it and then take action based upon their experiences. At work I am a team leader and I make it a rule to listen to others and to create solutions based upon what they have to say. Buy-in from those who work with and for you is important.
It’s true, very true. My friends I hope your weekend was a good one. We all wish it were longer though. Let’s power through and make it the best day possible. Let’s do this, whatever this is.
In case you wondered what people from other places do to make the world better. There are a lot of things that make life easier, more delicious, healthier and safer. Without immigrants my country as it is right now wouldn’t exist.
One year ago the United States Supreme Court decided in favor of marriage equality in Obergefell v. Hodges. Since then thousands of couples around the country have the right to marry the one they love. LGBTQ people can realize the hopes, dreams, benefits and promise of marriage. I salute my friends who are now living the life they fought for and dreamed about for years. May God bless them all today. Love does win, every time.
